Is it just me or was June the fastest month ever?  It feels like May was five minutes ago.

The end of the month means it’s time to recap another great vegan food swap!  Last month, I sent tasty treats like avocado oil potato chips, Vega powder and raw nacho crackers to Ainslie from Everyone is Vegan (read her review here), while Kelly from Three and a Half Vegans spoiled me rotten with treats like alcohol-free vanilla extract, coconut vinegar and sugar cookies!  Read about last month’s food swap escapes here.

This month I sent more of my favourite treats like Panda licorice, Camino chocolate bar, homemade dried fruit and kettlecorn caramel popcorn to Amanda at Vegan Sweet Tart ….I hope she has a sweet tooth!

I eagerly awaited the mail this month knowing my vegan food swap would be arriving from classically trained chef Heather from Sweetly Raw.  Check out her blog for her mouthwatering raw vegan creations!

In the package was cashew butter and carob powder, both which I usually have in my pantry and coincidentally had just run out of, so nice mind-reading there, Heather.  I will use them both next time I make my fudgey rice crispy bars.

Also, two power bars I’d never seen before: Cranberry Almond Hemp Power and Very Berry Flax Power, both by Ruth’s Hemp Foods.  I immediately hid them from my children, which is what I have to do with little bars like these or else they will vanish.  My favourite was the one with cranberries and almonds, yummy!  Heather also included a five grain granola which my kids loved (note: this brand contains honey).   They had it for breakfast all this week with hemp hearts, chopped bananas, pecans and almond milk.

Thank you very much, Heather!
